Design Values, Issues and Ethics is an expansive module offered to level 3 undergraduate design students, delivered in Semester 1. This module introduces the \u2018bigger picture\u2019 for design activity and its intervention for 21st century creative practice. It promotes environmental design values, issues and ethics as an enhancement of student learning, empowering them to participate and act through design outcomes both visual and written. Using Biomimicry, Biophilia and Resilience as tools to inspire design, students achieve a deep understanding of systems thinking at its intersection with design and nature. It is an interdisciplinary module where students from graphic design, product design, interactive design, textile design, jewellery, illustration and fine art collaborate to co-create new models for new communities. The module was recently recognized by CASE, University of Dundee, by awarding it a Learning and Teaching Award for Innovation.<\/p>\n
